The Gas Analysis and Sensing Group (GASG) is a company limited by guarantee and is run as a non-profitmaking organisation to:

  • Provide a forum for the discussion and dissemination of information about all aspects of gas analysis and sensing. This includes legislation and standards.
  • Stimulate the research, development and application of gas sensing and analysis.
  • Organises and host technical colloquia (meetings) bringing together manufacturers, users, research organisations and academic departments who share technical interests.
  • Publish newsletters and proceedings of colloquia.

Purpose

Our mission is to provide a forum for the discussion and dissemination of information about all aspects of gas analysis and sensing, including legislation & standards; and stimulate the research, development and application of gas sensing and analysis.

Community

Our members represent gas sensor and equipment manufacturers in the UK, along with leading university, government and private laboratories focusing on gas sensing and monitoring. We host three events across the UK, annually.

History

We were founded in 1993 and are a non-profit organisation. Initially supported by the Department of Trade and Industry, we are now self-funded solely by membership subscription fees.
